It was amazing to promote the book at CTN. There were lots of meetings and positive feedback, I'm very excited to be sharing this book in the first part of 2015 with the artistic community! Check out the Studio Technique FB album for more photos!
The first manuscript has been printed and bound. It's not the final version, but it's exciting to see it in a complete book! Be sure to come visit the Studio Technique booth at the CTN (Booth T125) to get some updates!
Here is a behind the scenes sneak peak. These are few sample pages of the original manuscript and placeholder images.
There are currently over 215 images in the book so far!
The book will help you understand how posing works, how to understand a pose and once understood, how that knowledge can then be used in its application to your creative work.
I worked closely with Live Model Books to create a series of poses to help breakdown how to observe a pose in the figure. The poses are photographed in full rotation, and can be seen in their Pose Space library.

A small glimpse at what will be inside the book! The content covered will break down the figure to understand body mechanics, the relationships of the masses of the body and how they affect each other.

I had a wonderful time working with Art Model Books. They are an amazing resource for art model photography, offering a full rotation of every pose. More to come about this experience soon! I'm looking forward to sharing more about this exciting project!
